About the DAA
The Downtown Algonquin Association is a nonprofit organization made up of property owners, businesses, and residents dedicated to enhancing the vitality of Historic Downtown Algonquin while preserving its unique character and sense of community.
Through collaboration between local businesses, community members, volunteers, and association leadership, the Downtown Algonquin Association works to support events, promote local businesses, encourage community engagement, and strengthen downtown as a vibrant destination along the Fox River.
The Downtown Algonquin Association was formed in April 2023 to support, promote, and strengthen the Historic Downtown Algonquin district through community partnerships, business advocacy, marketing initiatives, and special events.
The organization’s primary goals include:
- Advocating for and supporting businesses within Historic Downtown Algonquin
- Promoting downtown as a vibrant destination to dine, explore, gather, and invest
- Encouraging collaboration between local businesses, property owners, community members, and the Village of Algonquin
- Organizing events, promotions, and initiatives that enhance community engagement and support downtown economic vitality
- Preserving and celebrating the unique character, history, and charm of Downtown Algonquin
- Strengthening awareness and visibility of downtown businesses, experiences, and attractions throughout the community and surrounding region
