Submit Your Event to the Downtown Calendar
Downtown thrives when our members stay active and visible. If you’re planning an event, workshop, live entertainment night, fundraiser, or special promotion, we’d love to help spread the word.
DAA members have exclusive access to submit events to the Downtown Algonquin Calendar.
Here’s how it works:
✔ You must be a current DAA member
✔ Complete the online event submission form
✔ Our team will review and confirm your listing
The more we work together, the more vibrant Downtown Algonquin becomes.
Request a Ribbon Cutting
Celebrating a grand opening, anniversary, new ownership, or expansion? The Downtown Algonquin Association is proud to help mark the occasion with an official ribbon cutting ceremony.
Full Event Description
A ribbon cutting is more than a photo opportunity — it’s a moment to introduce your business to the community and celebrate your investment in Downtown Algonquin.
When you submit a request, the DAA will:
- Coordinate a mutually agreed upon date and time
- Provide ceremonial ribbon and oversized scissors
- Invite DAA board members and local officials
- Promote the event on DAA social media channels
- Include the event on website calendar
We kindly ask that requests be submitted at least 2–3 weeks in advance of your preferred date.
A contribution of $50 is suggested to help cover promotional support and materials. Donations are appreciated but not required.
